WW2 Era Japanese Order of the Sacred Treasure, 8th Class

This vintage medal is the Japanese Order of the Sacred Treasure, 8th Class, awarded for long-standing public or military service in Japan.
The Order of the Sacred Treasure is a Japanese order, established on 4 January 1888 by Emperor Meiji as the Order of Meiji.
Obverse: The medal takes the form of a silver, six-pointed star, representing the rays of the sun, with rounded beads at the end of each point. At the center of the star, a floral design, likely a chrysanthemum, is faintly visible. The medal is attached to a triangular ribbon. A matching rosette accompanies the medal, to be worn as a lapel pin.
Obverse legend: None
Reverse: The reverse side of the medal bears a Japanese inscription, which reads "勲八等" (Kun hachitō, meaning "Order of the Sacred Treasure, 8th Class"). The reverse is plain with some tarnishing from age.
