Obverse: Bears the heading “BANCO CENTRAL DEL ECUADOR” at the top. At the center is a portrait of Simón Bolívar within an ornate frame. The denomination “100” appears multiple times in decorative panels. Serial numbers are printed in blue at the top. The place name “Quito” is shown at lower left, with the issue date “Abril 20 de 1990” at lower right. Official signatures and detailed guilloche patterns are visible across the design.
Reverse: Displays the national coat of arms of Ecuador at the center, surrounded by elaborate ornamental engraving. The denomination “100” is shown in the corners and side panels, with the inscription “CIEN SUCRES” along the bottom. Dense background text and fine line work fill the entire surface.
