1942 Japanese Government One Rupee Banknote Burma

Obverse: Shows the inscription “THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT” at the top with “ONE RUPEE” in the center. At right is a detailed vignette of a pagoda with palm trees, symbolizing Burmese architecture and landscape. At left, decorative fruit and foliage surround the numeral “1”. The serial prefix letters “BD” appear on both sides, with ornate borders, fine line engraving, and Japanese characters printed along the lower margin.
Reverse: Features an ornate symmetrical design dominated by a large central numeral “1”. Additional “1” numerals are placed on the left and right within decorative frames. The background consists of intricate geometric and floral patterns printed in green.
