This vintage postcard features a view of the outskirts of Marrakech, Morocco. The scene shows a dusty path alongside the city walls with several figures walking with donkeys. A lone palm tree stands on the left, and a domed structure appears in the middle ground, evoking the simple, traditional landscape of early 20th-century Morocco.
On the reverse side, there is a handwritten message in purple ink addressed to "Madame, Monsieur Bayeux, Cité Monsieur 4, Orléans, Loiret." The message reads:
“Il y a du vent ce jour. J’ai un peu de temps pour écrire. Malheureusement, j’ai du travail à finir, donc je ne pourrai écrire tout de suite.”
This translates to: "It is windy today. I have a little time to write. Unfortunately, I have work to finish, so I cannot write immediately."
The reverse also includes space for correspondence and an address, typical of early 20th-century postcard layouts.
