Dieppe, France – La Rue Aguado – Postcard Early 20th Century
This postcard presents a tranquil view of Rue Aguado in Dieppe, a popular seaside town along the Normandy coast.
As one of the first French seaside resorts, Dieppe attracted holidaymakers from both France and England during the Belle Époque. Its expansive beaches, therapeutic seawater baths, and luxury accommodations made it a fashionable destination. Rue Aguado—named after Spanish banker and philanthropist Alexandre Aguado—was a prime promenade location near the seafront, offering grand views and access to elite hotels and the waterfront gardens.
The reverse follows the standard French Carte Postale format.
