Obverse: Issued by the Alliierte Militärbehörde (Allied Military Authority), this occupation currency features the denomination “1/2 Mark” prominently on both sides within a guilloche patterned background in green and blue. The serial number “006101211” is printed in black at the center. German inscriptions include UNLAUT GESETZT (valid currency) and DEUTSCHLAND (Germany). The denomination “FÜNFZIG PFENNIG” (fifty pfennig, equal to 1/2 mark) is displayed at the bottom.
Reverse: Displays a large central “M” within an ornate medallion design in brown, surrounded by geometric and floral guilloche patterns. 
Size: ±78 x 67 mm
This note was part of the Allied Military Currency (AMC) issued in 1944 for circulation in occupied Germany following World War II. It served as transitional money under the control of the Allied forces.
