The Monte Carlo Casino, designed by Charles Garnier (the architect of the Paris Opera House), was completed in 1863 as part of Monaco’s efforts to attract wealthy visitors and establish a thriving tourism industry. It quickly became a symbol of luxury and sophistication, drawing European aristocrats, celebrities, and socialites.
The reverse side of the postcard includes a handwritten message and a French 10-centime stamp, postmarked in Monte Carlo, with a promotional mark reading "Climat Incomparable" (Unparalleled Climate)—a nod to Monaco’s reputation as a Mediterranean paradise.
