Obverse: Features the Berlin Bear, the heraldic symbol of the city, on the left side with the denomination “50.” The center text, written in Gothic script, reads Fünfzig Pfennig along with the issue authority, Stadtkassenamt Berlin, 9 Sept. 1921, Magistrat der Reichshauptstadt. The background consists of repeating “50” patterns, with ornate teal-green borders and a round seal at the right. The serial number “696393” is printed at the bottom left.
Reverse: Depicts a historic scene of Berliner Straße in Charlottenburg around the year 1820. On the left is the inscription Bezirk 7 Charlottenburg, while the right side reads Die Berliner Straße in Charlottenburg um 1820. 
Size: ±105 x 55 mm
This note was part of the emergency money (Notgeld) issued in Berlin during the post-World War I inflationary period. It was accepted locally as small change when official coins were in shortage.
