Obverse: Features a portrait of Primož Trubar (1508–1586), the Protestant reformer and author of the first Slovene language printed book. A feather quill, symbolizing Trubar’s contribution to Slovenian literature, is depicted beside him. The word "Abecedarium," referring to one of his works, is prominently displayed near the top. The denomination "10" appears in large text on the left side in red.
