The arch, designed by Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas, features Moorish-inspired details, a series of sculpted coats of arms representing Spanish provinces, and an allegorical frieze celebrating Barcelona as the welcoming host of the exhibition.
The Palacio de Justicia, completed in the late 19th century, served as Barcelona’s main courthouse. It was one of the city’s most significant institutional buildings, designed in a mix of Gothic and Renaissance styles.
