Obverse: Displays the denomination "5" prominently in each corner and in the center within ornate blue and green guilloche patterns. The text "ÉMIS EN FRANCE" (Issued in France) is shown at the top, with "CINQ FRANCS" (Five Francs) below. The serial number "42238481" is printed in black at the center. Series date "1944" is noted on both sides.
Reverse: Features the French national flag (Tricolore) in vivid red, white, and blue, waving above a decorative frame. Beneath the flag, the French national motto "LIBERTÉ, ÉGALITÉ, FRATERNITÉ" is inscribed, symbolizing the liberation of France during World War II.
Issuer: Allied Military Government (AMG), for use in liberated France in 1944.
