1944 China 100 Yuan Banknote

Obverse: Shows a portrait of Sun Yat-sen at left within an ornate engraved frame. Chinese characters at the top identify the issuing authority, The Central Bank of China. The denomination “100 Yuan” is presented in large Chinese script at the center, with red serial numbers printed on both sides. 
Reverse: Displays the English title “THE CENTRAL BANK OF CHINA” at the top. The denomination “ONE HUNDRED YUAN” is placed at the center inside an elaborate guilloche border. The date “1944” appears at the bottom within a rectangular frame. Ornamental panels with geometric flower-like patterns flank the central design, while the denomination in Chinese appears in the upper corners. Printed signatures of bank officials are visible at the lower left and right.
