Struck at the historic mint of Potosí, this 8 Soles coin features on the obverse the laurel-crowned bust of Simón Bolívar with the inscription "FREE BY THE CONSTITUTION," highlighting republican values. The reverse displays the national coat of arms with a central palm and two recumbent llamas, as well as the denomination in tenths and grains, typical of the Bolivian monetary system of the time.
