Ingri Mariscal (Seville, 1989) is the artistic name of Engracia Fernández de Peñaranda Mariscal. Born into a family deeply connected to art, she inherited the creative restlessness of her maternal grandfather, a painter, photographer, and poster artist. She grew up surrounded by materials, paints, and cameras, which marked the beginning of her passion for art. She studied Ephemeral Architecture in 2010 and Fine Arts at the University of Seville, completing her training in Perugia, Italy, in 2014. She currently resides in Madrid, although she remains connected to her Andalusian roots, whose influence is palpable in the light and vibrant colors that characterize her work.
Ingri Mariscal primarily expresses herself through painting, using a palette of vivid colors that conveys her energy and vision of the world. She often portrays close individuals and iconic characters who spontaneously capture her attention, motivated by the inspiration that arises from the moment. Driven by the desire to capture the unique beauty and natural essence of human expression, her creative process focuses on a detailed study of the traits and emotions of each character. She develops her compositions using transparencies and layers of color, exploring the contrasts of light and shadow that define the faces and give them life.
Throughout his career, he has created murals in public and private spaces and has carried out commissions such as portraits and projects for designing environments and spaces. In 2021, her works were part of the Élite series, exhibited in scenes from the famous series.
