Holywell Bay
Holywell Bay travel poster and seaside print by Becky Bettesworth.
Becky fell in love with the huge expanse of golden sandy beach and the tufted sand dunes at Holywell Bay. The exposed rocky headlands sit alongside the spectacular sandy beach and there are fantastic places to sit and watch the sunset. It is a great family beach and perfect for surfing or making sandcastles. At low tide, it is possible to explore the fascinating grotto-like Holywell Cave with its calcium deposits, but do be careful not to get cut off by the tide! It is a lovely and impressive place to visit where you can enjoy the majesty of the sea and the Poldark romance.
Holywell Bay on the north coast of Cornwall is only a stone's throw from the popular seaside towns of Perranporth and Newquay, offering you a haven of beaches, common land, and a coastline to explore.
Holywell is owned and looked after by the National Trust.
