Obverse: Portrait of Guglielmo Marconi (1874–1937), Italian inventor and pioneer of wireless telegraphy, at right. At center, ornate guilloche patterns and watermark area featuring security emblem. Coat of arms of Italy with winged lion symbol included. Denomination “2000 LIRE DUEMILA” at top left and “BANCA D’ITALIA” at bottom. Serial number “GA 642515 E” printed twice in black.
Reverse: Depicts radio transmission towers, telegraph equipment, and a ship symbolizing Marconi’s groundbreaking work in long-distance wireless communication. Decorative geometric security patterns fill the background. Denomination “2000” at top right and left.
