The Suzani stitch began as a bridal tradition — women from Persia and Uzbekistan embroidering cotton or silk to create a valuable dowry. It moved south through the trade routes into Rajasthan, where it fused with a textile culture of colour and beauty, and 700 years later, it has evolved to this modern interpretation. We love the light green with the brown motif, put it on the sofa or the reading chair, and see how the light plays with the texture of the threads.
