1920 South Russia 500 Rubles Banknote
Obverse: Depicts the Millennium of Russia Monument in Novgorod at center, surrounded by rays and ornate floral designs. Denomination “500” appears at lower left and issue year “1920” at bottom center. Russian inscriptions explain the note’s validity and government guarantee.
Reverse: Inscription in Russian reads “Билет Государственного Казначейства Главного Командования Вооруженными Силами на Юге России” (“Treasury Note of the Main Command of the Armed Forces of South Russia”). Large central text “ПЯТЬСОТ РУБЛЕЙ” (Five Hundred Rubles). Ornamental guilloche patterns with the denomination “500” in top right corner. Printed signatures of financial officials at bottom.
