The Cameroon Shield. Originally, these beautiful shields were an important part of tribal weaponry and they reflected the spirituality and
social beliefs of the people. As such they have great symbolic meaning and prestige.

The geometric designs were used to confuse enemies due to their dizzying effects. 

The shields are handmade and will slightly vary in size and design.

Design & Aesthetic

​Visual Impact: The high-contrast palette of blackened wood and white kaolin clay creates a powerful "op-art" effect, making it a compelling focal point for modern and minimalist interiors.

​Textural Detail: The surface is deeply incised with linear grooves, providing a tactile quality that highlights the artisanal nature of the piece.

​Form: Its elongated, almond-shaped (mandorla) silhouette is balanced by a flat top and bottom, mounted on a bespoke blackened steel stand for an elegant gallery presentation.
