Il s'agit d'un serpent protecteur Baga, connu dans la littérature sous divers noms : Bansonyi, A-mantsho-na-tshol ou Inap. Le serpent représenté serait similaire au python féroce dont l'esprit, appelé Ninkinanka, intervient pour soigner la stérilité et les sécheresses, en apportant prospérité, richesse et pluie. Ces sculptures sont portées sur le sommet du crâne, maintenues par un couvre-chef qui s'ajuste autour des épaules.

Nos sculptures sont toutes faites à la main et aucune n'est exactement identique à une autre. Elles constituent de magnifiques objets de décoration intérieure.
