Rare 1887 Mexico Deuda Consolidada 5 Pesos 60 Centavos
Obverse: Displays the heading “DEUDA CONSOLIDADA DE MEXICO” across the top. At left is a portrait vignette within a circular frame. The denomination is shown as “CINCO PESOS SESENTA CENTAVOS Y MEDIO” with the equivalent “5.62½ Dollars” also printed. A red control number “1539” appears at the center. The text includes “Bono No.” and printed date “Vence el 1° de Diciembre de 1887”.
Reverse: Shows the inscription “DEUDA CONSOLIDADA” at the top and “DEVENGO” at the bottom. At left is a boxed Spanish text stating payment conditions and the date “22 de Junio de 1885”. At right is a large numeral “4” within a framed panel. Ornamental borders and detailed line engraving cover the entire design. A matching cancellation hole is present. At the bottom margin appears “American Bank Note Co. New York”.
