1998 Egypt 10 Piastres Banknote
Obverse: Features the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, also known as the Alabaster Mosque, located in Cairo’s Citadel. The denomination “10 Piastres” is prominently printed in the center, along with inscriptions in English: The Arab Republic of Egypt, Currency Note, Issued under Law 50/1940. The note is signed by the Minister of Finance, M. Elghaneeb.
Reverse: Depicts the Great Sphinx of Giza with the Pyramids in the background, symbolizing Egypt’s ancient civilization and national pride. Arabic inscriptions state the denomination “10 Piastres” and the issuing authority. Serial number is printed in black at the top left and bottom center.
