1981 Bolivia 500 Pesos Bolivianos Banknote
Obverse: Features a portrait of Eduardo Abaroa, a Bolivian national hero of the War of the Pacific, on the right. The Bolivian coat of arms is displayed in the center. The denomination "500" appears in all four corners. The text reads "BANCO CENTRAL DE BOLIVIA" and "QUINIENTOS PESOS BOLIVIANOS," with the serial number "02337959" printed twice in red. The note is dated by Supreme Decree of June 1, 1981.
Reverse: Depicts the historic city of Potosí, known for its famous silver mines that played a key role in Bolivia’s colonial and economic history. The denomination "500" is printed in decorative frames on both sides and in a large ornate seal on the left. Inscriptions include "BANCO CENTRAL DE BOLIVIA" and "QUINIENTOS PESOS BOLIVIANOS."
