1977 Italy 200 Lire Banknote
Obverse: Issued in Genova on 15 February 1977, this circular check (assegno circolare) for “duecento lire” (200 lire) is payable to the Associazione del Commercio e del Turismo della Provincia di Genova. At left, a security emblem with stylized sail and lotus-like motif, with “IL BANCO DI CHIAVARI E DELLA RIVIERA LIGURE” at top. Denomination “200” shown in large violet print at right. Serial number “020743577” printed at top and bottom.
Reverse: Large vertical denomination “VALE LIRE 200” in red at center with security background pattern. Text at right margin states: “IL PRESENTE ASSEGNO PUÒ CIRCOLARE SOLTANTO IN ITALIA” (This cheque may circulate only in Italy). Space for endorsement “GIRATE” at left with association president’s printed signature.
