1961 Mozambique 100 Escudos Banknote
Obverse: Features a portrait of King Carlos I of Portugal on the right. The note is framed with ornate guilloche patterns in green and multicolors, with the denomination “100” in all four corners. The center carries the text “MOCAMBIQUE CEM ESCUDOS” and “BANCO DE MOCAMBIQUE,” with serial number “C54080348” printed twice.
Reverse: Displays the emblem of Banco Nacional Ultramarino (Lisboa 1864) on the left within a decorative medallion. The center includes intricate geometric patterns in pastel tones. The denomination “CEM ESCUDOS” appears at the bottom, with “BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO” inscribed at the top. The denomination “100” is repeated in each corner.
