To the left, the Portuguese coat of arms within a laurel wreath. Denomination “1” in all four corners. Text: “UMA PATACA” – “BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO.” Serial number printed twice. Date: 16 de Novembro de 1945.
Reverse: Central vignette of a steamship, representing maritime trade and colonial connections. Surrounded by ornate guilloche patterns. Denomination “1” in corners and “UMA PATACA” at bottom. Lettering: “BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO – COLONIAS COMERCIO AGRICULTURA.”
