In ganz Tansania fertigen viele verschiedene Volksgruppen ähnliche Stühle an, bei denen Rückenlehne, Sitzfläche und Beine aus einem einzigen Stück Holz geschnitzt sind. Sie werden in der Regel aufrecht stehend mit eingeschnittenem Design gefertigt, und dieser hier hat in die Rückenlehne geschnitzte Hände und einen skulptierten Kopf, der die Rückenlehne krönt.
