This postcard presents a lively view of the Bourse (Brussels Stock Exchange) and the bustling boulevard that runs beside it.
The Brussels Stock Exchange, or Bourse de Bruxelles, was completed in 1873 as part of King Leopold II’s grand urban development plan. It became a symbol of modern commerce and a centerpiece of Brussels’ 19th-century architectural transformation.
The reverse follows the classic "Carte Postale / Postkaart" layout with divided sections for message and address, typical of Belgian postcards from the early 20th century.
Front Text: "Bruxelles, Bourse et le Boulevard."
