The denomination "伍圓" (Five Yuan) is prominently displayed in the ornate center design. Serial number "Z206363" is printed twice in red. The top inscription reads "中國銀行" (Bank of China).
Reverse: Displays the Temple of Heaven (Tiantan) in Beijing within an oval frame on the right. The denomination "5" is printed in each corner and centrally as "FIVE YUAN." The text "BANK OF CHINA" is shown at the top, and the year "1940" is printed at the bottom center. Serial number "Z206363" is repeated twice in red. Printer’s imprint reads "AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY."
