We will use waterproof compound in the junction box to keep the cables splash proof on the top of the fixture, and use the same compound in the lamp holders to keep them water resistant against accidental drips. We will also treat the timber with waterproof paint and seal the cable holes to help prevent water dripping down onto the lamp holders, however the lamp holders will not be waterproof (IP65 rated). Therefore, when watering your plants please take them down from the fixture - DO NOT water them whilst on top of the light. Plants should also stand in sealed pots with no drainage holes, water should not be allowed to pool on the top of the fixture. Allow excess water to drain away from the plants before placing them back on the fixture.
