It was registered on February 10, 1970, and new (like most examples) delivered in the United States: in Seattle. In 1997, the car was imported to the Netherlands. This example was fully 'body-off' restored around 2016 and is therefore in excellent condition. The owner who had the car restored kept it for no less than 17 years. Extensive documentation is available from the 2016 restoration, including a photo report and numerous invoices. Additionally, a valuation report issued in November 2024 describes the car as very good, with a replacement value of €31,500.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOptical State\u003cbr\u003eThe car is in nearly the same condition as when it rolled off the factory line in Osnabrück. It stands out in the color of the paintwork: this is a unique Aston Martin color that is exclusive to this car. Heinrich Nordhoff — then CEO of Volkswagen — was primarily focused on affordability and had doubts about the model's price. Nevertheless, the developed model was eventually presented in 1955 at the Frankfurt Motor Show to great interest. It helped improve Volkswagen's image, although the car also received criticism due to its limited engine power.
